Town Pastors report to Suffolk PCC warmly received

Last week (21st June 2018) Tony Hodge and Jo Copsey of Town Pastors Central made a verbal report to the Suffolk Police and Crime Commissioner's Accountability and Perfomance Panel in support of their formal written report to the PCC submitted earlier.  We were very warmly welcomed by the Commissioner, Tim Passmore, and senior officers from Suffolk Constabulary.  The East Anglian Daily Times were also in attendance and have published this artice on our report.

Town Pastors Central receive ongoing financial support from the Police and Crime Commissioner on behalf of all the schemes across Suffolk which Central then distributes to individual schemes according to budgets which they have subbmitted which collectively comprise our bid to the PCC Crime Reduction grant.  This ongoing support provides a key component to Town Pastor finances, with other funds being raised by each scheme locally.

In addition to his financial support, the Commissioner and Suffolk Constabulalry officers of all ranks regularly express thier appreciation of the work of Town Pastors.  Working in partnership with the Police, District Councils, local CCTV and door staff at venues, Town Pastors aim to make our Towns safer places to be during the Night-Time Economy though compassionate, non-judgemental care.
