Partnership Working

Stronger Together

Town Pastors work in partnership with police, local authorities, businesses, and other organizations to create safer town centres.

Police

Some of the Town Pastor schemes in Suffolk receive funding from the Police and Crime Commissioner.

Town Pastors work with local police but they do not work for the police. Our focus is on care for the wellbeing of people, not law enforcement.

Local Authorities

We work with our local councils and local authorities, participating in community safety activities.

Door Supervisors and Security

We work alongside door staff at pubs, clubs, and other venues, sharing information about vulnerable people and potential issues.

CCTV Operators

In some locations, CCTV is in operation and we communicate with CCTV operators to help us locate people in need and monitor situations as they develop.

Local Churches

All of our volunteers are members of local Christian churches. We could not operate without their support which may be in both practical and financial ways.

Other Organisations

There are many other local and national organisations that can provide help and support beyond what we can offer. Take a look at our resources guide for links to some that you may find useful.
