Cookie Policy

This site, like many others, uses small files called “cookies” stored by your browser (e.g. Chrome, Safari or Edge) to enable the functioning of the site.

What are cookies?

The Information Commissioner’s Office describes “cookies” as follows:

Cookies are small text files generated by a web server responding to a request from a website. The user’s device can store cookies (eg via their web browser) and send the information back when they next make a request to the same web server.

Cookies are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, and to provide information to the website operator. For example, they can be used for:

  • recognising a user’s device;
  • remembering what’s in a shopping basket when shopping for goods online;
  • supporting users to log in to a website or remembering they are logged in; or
  • analysing traffic to a website and how users interact with the website.

They can also be used for other purposes, such as tracking users’ browsing behaviour.

How do we use cookies?

We want to respect your privacy and so make as little use of cookies as possible. We believe that all the cookies used on this site fall into the category of “strictly necessary” cookies. Without these cookies we could not make this website function as intended.

What cookies do we use?

The only cookies that we use are set and processed on the contact page of the website. If you do not visit this page, no cookies should be set or used.

We rely on the web3forms.com service to process the contact form and this, in turn, uses the hCaptcha.com service to protect against abuse of the form by robotic processes. This uses the following cookies:

  • __cf_bm
  • __cflb

These are associated with the hcaptcha.com domain, content from which is embedded into the page. They expire after about 30 minutes.

None of these cookies are used to track or identify you and are used solely to provide the contact form functionality.

How do I turn cookies off?

If you want to eliminate all use of cookies by this website, it is usually possible to stop your browser accepting cookies, or to stop it accepting cookies from a particular website. All modern browsers allow you to change your cookie settings. These settings will typically be found in the ‘options’ or ‘preferences’ menu of your browser.

If you do turn off cookies you will no longer be able to use the contact form in order to get in touch with us.
